Advanced Pain Management uses the most technologically advanced, minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic services currently available to treat and help eliminate your chronic pain. They understand how chronic pain affects the quality of life for their patients, and they will do everything they can to make life better for everyone who comes to their office for treatment.
Advanced Pain Management is equipped to provide a variety of therapies in-house at any of their TEN locations, including Phoenix, Tempe, Surprise, Mesa, Chandler, Ahwatukee, Scottsdale, Glendale, Avondale and Tucson. Once they complete their examination and diagnose the source of the chronic pain, they can offer one of the following treatments, often during your initial visit:
Ultrasound ‐ Ultrasound treatment has been used to treat chronic pain for decades. It incorporates the use of sound waves to penetrate soft tissue, helping to reduce inflammation, increase metabolism and promote healing to the area experiencing pain.
High Voltage Stimulation ‐ High Voltage Stimulation or High Voltage Galvanic (HVG) stimulation uses an electrical current to penetrate into soft tissue. The electrical currents help to decrease fluid retention, reduce swelling to the injured area, and increase blood flow to stimulate healing. It is often used to relieve chronic pain injuries like carpel tunnel syndrome.
Trigger Point Injections ‐ Trigger Point Injections are used to treat areas of muscle that have become permanently knotted and are unable to relax. A small needle is used to inject a local anesthetic/steroid into the area of knotted muscle, alleviating the pain and allowing the muscle to relax. Even after the anesthesia wears off the patient will continue to experience relief from their chronic pain. Trigger Point Injections have been used to effectively treat muscle pain in the arms, legs, lower back and neck, and for problems like fibromyalgia, tension headaches, and myofascial pain syndrome.
Traction ‐ Traction has been used for decades to alleviate chronic pain from pinched nerves. During traction the muscles and ligaments around the vertebrae of the spine are carefully stretched, expanding the space between the vertebrae. This allows the muscles to relax and the pinched nerve to be released.
Hydro Therapy ‐ Hydro therapy is an effective treatment for chronic pain, helping to increase blood flow to areas of pain, which in turn helps to stimulate healing.
Chiropractic Therapy ‐ Chiropractic therapy can be used to treat chronic pain by helping to realign muscles and bones in the body that may be pressing on nerves and causing chronic pain. Chiropractic treatments usually involve using heat, electrical stimulation or ultrasound to relax muscles before doing an adjustment.
